| About ShanStar™
ShanStar™ is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cliffstar Corporation, one of the top juice processors and bottlers in the world. Cliffstar has multiple fruit processing and receiving facilities in addition to five bottling plants across the United States. When you buy from us you are dealing directly with the processor of the active ingredients.
ShanStar™ Biotech was formed in cooperation with Shanbrom Technologies, LLC, the firm that patented the extraction process used to create our unique bio-active supplements. ShanStar’s efficacy has been tested in clinical trials and has impressive laboratory results listed in detail on this site. While most other cranberry extract ingredients are simple spray dried juices or ground up fruit by-products, ShanStar’s unique extraction process captures large quantities of polyphenols and pro-anthocyanidins, the compounds indicated by many studies that deliver the anti-adhesive and anti-oxidant properties that are so well know to the cranberry.
WHY BUY FROM US?
* We are the prime supplier of the active ingredient in our ShanStar™ tablets. There are no middlemen in the creation of the products.
* We have been producing cranberry products for over 30 years and have industry leading technology and experience.
* Our extracts are scientifically tested and sold on the basis of active compounds – cranberry polyphenolic content. Most other products have almost no polyphenolic content. We generate ShanStar™directly from our juice production process.
* We have done extensive testing, both in house and with affiliated academic institutions, to ensure consistent bio-activity of our products. A clinical trial using our ShanStar extracts has just been accepted and published in “Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine” Anti-microbial Activity of Urine after Ingestion of Cranberry: A Pilot Study Yee Lean Lee; Wadie I. Najm; John Owens; Laurie Thrupp; Sheryl Baron; Edward Shanbrom; Thomas Cesario Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine 2008; doi: 10.1093/ecam/nem183
